HUFFINGTON POST "WELCOMES" NAJIB TO THE US

by Toffee

The Huffington Post has among other prominent American Newspapers welcomed Najib Tun Razak to the US by publicly insulting him.

This time around there were no  full page advertisements in leading US papers welcoming the   "First Lady of Malaysia," I wonder if she even accompanied him, and if she didn't I don't think we have to speculate why, she is after all now a sought after personality by the international press, especially in countries like the US, and I am sure the Journalists from the Wall Street Journal would love to interview her.
Alone without Rosmah?. Why?

To get back to the issue at hand the articles in the Huffington Post.  How to Lose Friends and Alienate People: The Stymied Progress of U.S.-Malaysia Relations

Will he sue the Huffington Post?
I am sure he will not as there is nothing he can sue them for.

Will his Inspector General of Police (IGP) lodge a  report with Interpol to issue a "Red Notice" for the journalist who penned this article?
Well you can't discount that probability, it has been done before by the current sitting Police Chief  only to be publicly told off by Interpol.

It is abundantly clear that Obama is a Najib accomplice and that all he is interested in is;
what he has got to gain by being friendly with the Malaysian PM, after all his Presidency is almost all but over, and he is only interested in achieving the TPPA that will be a feather on his cap and hsi Presidency at our expense.

The bunkum that Najib si a close ally because of his commitment to fight ISIL is nothing but an excuse for Obama's own convenience, for after all it was Najib who had actually asked his own UMNO supporters to emulate ISIL born out of a combined support of Saudi Arabia and other Sunni nations to destroy the Assad regime of Syria and fight the Shite influence in the middle east.

That is why there was a sudden anti Shite campaign in Malaysia with the current deputy Prime Minister accusing Mat Sabu of being a Shite and followed by UMNO big wigs referring to the Shite as not just deviants but Satanic.

One time regarded as another Islamic country, Iran was almost immediately sidelined by this anti Shite rhetoric by UMNO and judging from the circumstances one can only guess it was at the prompting of the US who were then very aggressively stepping up an anti Iran and anti Syria campaign at the beckoning of its great ally Saudi Arabia.

One has only got to look at Saudi Arabia, and Brunei where the monarchs exercise absolute control to realize how really interested Obama and the US administration are  in freedom and democracy, surely China and Russia has more credibility than the US, they are consistent with what they say and do.

Now in the US Najib still has the audacity to move around after having promised to take the Wall street Journal to court and then chickening out, it was nothing but hogwash as he knows he'll be faced with the full wrath of the American press, and a host of investigative journalists if he tries and will be internationally exposed.

Talking about being Internationally exposed, let us hope that the US, Switzerland, France and Singapore carry out thorough investigations into the 1MDB sovereign fund and the ill gotten money of the rascals involved.

If it was a Russian, an Iranian, a Syrian a North Korean or a Zimbabwean there will be no doubt that not only will the FBI and CIA drag a nit comb type of investigation leaving no stone turned and adding on more propaganda like the did "the weapons of mass destruction" for Iraq. to get rid of their target at all costs even lying, but as long as it is one of their lackeys there is the  tendency to even not pretend sometimes that they are  they are investigating.

In this case I believe they are pretending and suspect Najib is there to get Obama to cooperate with him

IS THERE A POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE IN UMNO IN THE MAKING?

IS UMNO READY TO ROCK?

Amid talks and reports that Najib's Presidency may not last his return to Malaysia from the US, there is a growing appetite for Jho Low now, with the International Press hungry to be the first to reveal the first big time exposes on this close aide of Najib Tun Razak.

Apa lagi Cina mahu
Malays in Malaysia and especially disgruntled UMNO members are questioning Najib's generosity to this "Chinaman" at the expense of poor Malays in Malaysia with one branch chairman saying, "Najib could have made hundreds of millionaires by giving them only a tiny fraction of what Jho Low has inherited via the 1MDB", and that saying is now resonating within the walls of almost every UMNO Division and Branch.

Yet more are questioning Rosmah Mansor's riches and Najib's ability to provide for Rosmah the luxuries that seems to have overtaken that of Imelda Marcos, whilst many urban and rural Malays and other Malaysians are struggling to make ends meet, since the implementation of the GST and continuing rising costs are now are beginning to see little relevance in UMNO.

The dissatisfaction within UMNO, especially among the grassroots is now growing and growing rapidly, that there is a real possibility that Najib's Premiership is not going to last the next General Elections especially as some of the Divisional leaders who are reported to have received handouts from Najib are now prepared to turncoat for what they claim to be "the good of the nation" although it is understood that they ahve been given a tacit undertaking that they will not face any prosecution for the monies takeen or will not have to return what has been given to them.

In the meantime the former Prime Minster Mahathir Mohammed has accepted to the become patron of this group of UMNO Branch leaders and grassroots who are now demanding Najib's ouster.
Will he succeed in righting his wrongs
What is even more worrying for some Najib loyalists is that the supporters of the Deputy PM are now pushing him to oust Najib whilst he is away, this they see as the greatest opportunity to take over
rather than wait till Najib is kicked out unceremoniously by the party or the people and going by Najib politics that could take a life time by when even Zahid will be replaced they say.

Watching the whole situation hawkishly is Najib's cousin who has remained quiet all this time, Hishamuddin Hussein is the Minister of Defence.
Can the Minister of Defence remain a faithful cousin?
Hishamuddin has been quiet for a long time now and has been hardly heard of, sme UMNO sources believe that Deputy PM Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi is only a stop gap deputy and will be dropped once Najib feels strong enough.
.
UMNO sources speculate that Hamidi will dropped the same way Anwar was only that in his case there will be both criminal charges and also charges of criminal breach of trust, after all Njaib it is
rather apparent has full control over the office of the Attorney General and, the judicial system in the country today seems to suit the Najib agenda.

Ahmad Zahid is aware of this plot and plans his moves carefully, even having thoughts of dropping the 1.5 million intake of Bangladeshi workers as that could be turned into an issue for Najib to turn on him with.

These moves are not being planned for the immediate future .but for a later date, Najib has a been a
Will History repeat itself or will he act first?
good student he has learned well from Mahathir and is moving slowly, he has no plans to relinquish his position in the near future and is there for the long haul by hook or by crook.

Zahid's move has to be planned for now or it will be a little too late too soon.
Will Zahid make his move or will he moved out either by way of the next elections or an extraordinary general meeting which is now being mooted by the grassroots?

NAJIB PONDERS THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF BANK NEGARA

by Toffee
3 Feb 2016

 "1 BENGKRUP MALAYSIA!!"
SAYS MY UMNO FRIEND DAUD

To understand the "UMNO buddies" referred to in this article please click on this link UMNO Buddies and read the article I penned on Dec 7 2012, almost everything they said came to pass, yes, BN took a beating in Johor that was unthinkable before, BN had a lesser majority than before, it was the Malays vote that swung the popular vote in favour of the opposition and not the Chinese vote as Najib woudl like everyone to think.
the story at;  http://toffeesturn.blogspot.my/2012/12/najib-nero-of-sorts.html

I was in Tangkak just two weekends ago visiting my UMNO buddies, and what happened there did not seem to be significantly important at that point in time with  what I assumed to be loose political talk, but after I got home and after meeting others and hearing whispers of the same things I heard in Tangkak from my UMNO buddies from both Melaka and Johor, it got me thinking that I decided I have to put pen to paper to let you all know lest it is true.

Zeti the retiring Governor.
I really have no reason at all to doubt my UMNO buddies, they have given me information from as far back as 2008 and most of it was spot on (click on link). That they have a lot of credibility as far as I am concerned is beyond doubt, but like most of my Malay friends they are apt to joke at times, poke fun and create an environment of laughter, its so nice to be with them as even in the most serious times they have time for a joke, that was what made me not take them seriously at our last meeting.

There are times they tell you things that seem like they are joking and you tend to just put it off as in this case only to find out later that it is true. I can only say this is because the stories they tell are real bt are not completely verified or that the sceenario may change, and I believe the Tangkak experience is one like that, what was said has a good chance of coming to pass.

We were as usual in the confines of a particular house in Tangkak sitting down having"mee hoon" and teh "O" when one of the young UMNO men got the ball rolling.

"Who do you think will be the next Governor of Bank Negara?" he asked, no one seemed to pay attention as our conversation was still about 1MDB and the fact that one particular chap in the group, a lawyer was   telling us about Morais, Kevin Morais whom he referred to as a "distinguished Public Prosecutor and Servant," he told us a lot about Kevin and why he thought Kevin was murdered in connection with 1MDB.

He was relating 'facts' about Kevin, 'facts' in inverted commas because we could not verify those facts or how he knows for a fact Kevin was involved in the 1MDB case and he told us that he was really as  troubled as was many of his friends in the legal service he claims over Gani Patel's decision to remain quiet over the whole episode.

Blood thicker than water?
"For my own health," he said, "I think I'll have to go into practice, and get out of service as soon as possible." before taking a toilet break and then  our friend who brought up the Bank Negara issue came in again, "look" he said, " I am serious, but who do you think is going to be the next Governor of Bank Negara?"
Architect for 1 Benkrup Malaysia

It was all quiet no one responded or no one seemed to be really interested in wanting to make a comment till that chap who had identified himself to me as Daud in one of our earlier encounters, said jokingly, " Arul Kanda I guess," and everyone laughed.

The chap who asked the question then interrupted, "don't laugh but that was one of the names I heard Najib is considering seriously," of course he did not say Najib they have a more crude term to refer to the PM every time they talk and that is quite well known in UMNO circles and even to Najib's trusted lieutenant Hamid Zahid Hamidi I am told.

When he said that some among us laughed most of us shrugged it off, then he went on, "he is not the only one I heard about there is also Nazir his brother, but I think Najib will not try him, but then again you really can't tell, after all 'Blood is thicker than water' and then there is another a former Bank Negara man who served in the Finance Ministry, but that chap is suspect as he is rather close to Mahathir and has been rather quiet, he is suspected to be feeding Mahathir with the facts to hammer Najib with," he said,

"Of all" he continued "Arul Kanda stands the best chance they say, banker or no banker Najib knows one thing and that is he can Bank on Arul Kanda. A deputy will be appointed who will do the real managing but Arul Kanda will hold the fort and it will be all his (her) Indian men again".

"Arul Kanda?" scoffed the Charted Accountant in the group, "what does that idiot know about banking?"

"Remember he was an investment banker, with extensive experience in structured finance, corporate finance, and restructuring across multiple markets including London he has what it takes to run the Central Bank so things Najib and that is what counts in this country, if Najib thinks he is fit he is fit!!" said the chap who began the topic, and many seemed to agree.

Daud then said the man who takes over as the Governor of Bank Negara must be beyond reproach, he must blameless, his integrity without blemish, not only that it just hasn't got to be that way it must also be seen to be and seem to be that way. It is Bank Negra mind you."

After a moment of silence the group went back into gear their usual relaxed selves  and all the members of the group were then joking,  "no more 1MDB," said one,  "it will be 1Benk Negara," and yet another said, "well, well we might as well rename it now, 1 Benkrup Malaysia."

In making his choice, he has a massive headache
The group then got active on the subject and all in the group were in agreement with the idea of having Zeti's tenure extended, but no one was confident that Najib of all persons would be magnanimous enough to  do so.

The general feeling was  there are too many factors for Najib not to extend Zeti's tenure, for one, they say, if she has her way she would want Najib to be charged with multiple offenses, secondly too much illicit money has changed hands within Najib's ever growing inner circle and these guys would feel uncomfortable with Zeti up there, thirdly and most importantly, Rosmah will most certainly not want Najib to do that as there is they suspect  too much bad blood between the two.

Zeti herself may not want to consider an extension to her tenure because anyone who sits there in an "Independent Position" as the position of the Governor of Bank Negara, has to be forceful enough to take everyone regardless of stature to task, because governor only reports to the King, but we know that can't be done and that is not good for an image that has already taken a beating over the issue of 1MDB.

"Gentlemen, the country has crossed the cross roads, we are not at the cross roads, be prepared for bad times, real bad times, " said the one in the group, who to me seems to be the leader in the group, the one who told me I could call him Daud.

HRH SULTAN OF JOHOR CALLS FOR UNITY VIA SINGLE STREAM EDUCATION

CAN MALAYSIANS REALLY RISE TO THE CHALLENGE?
OR
WILL ALL THREE MAJOR SEGMENTS  SELFISHLY PROTECT THEIR OWN TURF?

Today I posted the Star's interview with His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor on my facebook page.

" STOP POLITICKING WITH EDUCATION SAYS THE SULTAN OF JOHOR."

Almost immediately it attracted responses from readers and all seemed to be very excited about it, responses came from almost every racial segment in our country and this shows that there is an anxious need for improvement in our education system.

To see this improvement as suggested by HRH the Sultan of Johor, Malaysians have to rise to the challenge, a challenge that will demand sacrifices from every segment of our society. Are we prepared for it?
The Sultan of Johor Touching the Hearts of All Malaysians.

I will deal with those challenges and sacrifices in the later part of this article.

As Technology picks up, we Malaysians are being left behind because our educations system has deteriorated to such low levels that even the IndonesianS and Thais are gaining on us to the extent they are now rated and our education system is out of the rankings, now if this is not cause for concern amongst us Malaysians I do not see what will be.

One thing for certain through my years as a Human Resource Professional the standard of graduates in general churned out by our schools has deteriorated to such low levels that most of them will not get decent  jobs overseas if and when the time comes, (it is almost certainly coming) when our children will have to seek greener pastures elsewhere like the Bangladeshis, the Indonesians and even the Thais are doing here currently.

Our Industries have gone abroad and now some of the lower end ones are showing signs of returning to Malaysia, while the higher end operations move elsewhere. Our education system is not geared to create innovators, people who can invent, if there are Malaysians capable of doing such things they are overseas, their inventions benefit those countries and why should  this be the case.

Our pseudo socioeconomic policy has resulted in a backward Malaysia  we placed our priorities in the wrong baskets and this has resulted in our backwardness.

A very good example was the Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia the foremost centre of Natural Rubber Research  in the world then headed by BC Shekar, a Scientist,  a Malaysian Scientist he was shunned.

If our Politicians and in particular Mahathir himself had seen it more worthwhile producing a Malaysian made automotive tire industry rather than a car  (Proton), we would have had more success there, it was certainly the better bet, even today after all these years our cars are yet to be rated  "indigenous technology" so much  is still borrowed.  We could have been one of the best tire manufacturers in the world but we chose to be one of the worst car manufacturers.\ in the world.

Take the Electronics Industry, we stared in mid sixties with Matsushita starting a plant in Shah Alam making finished consumer goods, this was followed by the semiconductor industry in the early seventies and by the eighties we had become the world's largest Semiconductor manufacturer, the largest manufacturer of domestic Air Conditioners, and among the top 20 exporting nations in the world, then all failed.

All failed because we did not produce enough  sufficient local graduate of the quality required to innovate, invent and make and export Malaysian technology like the Koreans and Taiwanese have done even though they began long after us and all this can only be the case because Malaysia lacked sufficient talent, caused mainly by our education system.

Some of our best talents from the semiconductor industry  emigrated to the Silicon Valley where they made their riches, and in an effort to try a quick fix the government brought back a sprinkling of talent tried in their own haphazard way to create a Malaysian semiconductor industry,  it and failed miserably.

There are the great examples of our domestic Electrical  products manufacturer MEC a huge flop, then there was this Company where a conman took the Government of Mahathir Mohammed for a ride, the firm called InventQjaya,  Mahathir's brainchild, I called the number today and I got a frightening reply, "the number you just called is not in service." Whatever happened to the millions pumped into this organization by the government?

We failed because the politicians were "politicking with education" as His Royal Highness the Sultan of  Johor so rightly put it. They really do not care, it is a ignorant mass that will keep them in power and so they are busy making mine and your children ignorant, it is their assurance of remaining in power.

HIS HIGHNESS PRESENTS A ROYAL SOLUTION,
BUT ARE WE AS MALAYSIANS READY TO TAKE IT?

Yes, his highness has presented us with a right royal challenge one that should get this nation moving and one that will unite us with purpose as a nation of, one people in all our diversity.

The question is are we prepared to make the sacrifices to pursue this challenge? Real sacrifices, sacrifices that will  really challenge every Malaysian from every segment of our society. Are we prepared to cast aside our own selfish objectives of race and think of one people in all our diversity? Can we do that?
Can we say No tho this?

To do this there must be a genuine will among Malaysians of all races, let us renounce our Tamil and Chinese Schools, let us like His Highness suggests have only one medium of schools and that is English Schools where Tamil and Chinese will become compulsory in the sense that it will not be
Can we say No to this?
deprived to a  student of any race wanting to study it, it will not be compulsory as a subject to pass, but compulsory as a subject to be taught to the highest of levels to those who choose to do so regardless of race.

Bahasa Malaysia must be made compulsory, compulsory enough that one should get a credit in the language to pass the exam, it is the prerequisite for entrance into local Universities.

English too will demand the same standards, so that our students will excel no matter where they go to further their eduction.

If we have Tamil and Chinese educators stubbornly refusing to  trade these age old practices then there will be no sincerity in the system, it will be a clear indication that they are not serious about National Unity and all they care about is their own selves and that is a real fear,as this
Can we say No to this?
has been the case all this while, educators backed by racial political parties.

The only way to get over this is to make it clear to all that the corrupt and selfish politicians who benefited from such schemes had all sent their Children overseas to the best Schools in English speaking countries, whist the continued to promote vernacular schools here in Malaysia only for their own selfish purposes.

Take a look at Najib's children, take a look at Hishamuddin's children and you'll find the answers there of course they are not the only ones it has been happening for generations.

Can we see more of this?
Some of the  Chinese and Tamil elite send their Children to elite English schools but when it comes to local education they want Chinese or Tamil schools as the case may be.Schools.

The local schools are the breeding grounds for local politicians especially the BN kind to create generations of ignorant people who will continue to support them.

The Sultan has come out with a fantastic suggestion if the people can grasp and appreciate what His Royal Highness has said, if they value the education of their drench,  we should be able to take it from there and I am sure he will not grudge us  his moral support.

Najib desperate, may drop Muhyiddin and promote Zahid

ZAHID MAY REPLACE MUHYIDDIN MID JUNE

Najib Razak is being advised  to drop Muhyiddin by his very closest aides, who feel the time has come for him to show his mettle and play hard ball.

Following that drop Najib is expected announce a cabinet reshuffle which will see the appointment of yet another Finance Minister - Finance Minister II and according to sources this person will be brought in via the senate.

Our sourcews in UMNO tells us that Rafidah may make a come back in a very special position and although this may anger Sharizat but  Najib is not too worried about that mooed  as he feels Sharizat owes her allegiance more to Mahathir then to him and it will be good to give her a signal about who controls the roost right now, he is confident Sharizatr will react in his favour, but Rafidah stays.

Rafidah on the other hand is all out to shut Mahathir out of the Malaysian political landscape for good, although she sees Najib as a Junior she is willing to lend him a helping hand.

Rafidah is being roped in to help out in a strategy to rope in more FDI an area she excelled in in the Mahatherian years and Rafidah has expressed her willingness to do so.

With Muhyiddin out of the way Najib is expected to make other changes, Education will go to Hishamuddin and his job at the helm will be to show the whole world what a mess Muhyiddin has made in Education.
