The Hishamuddin Hussein Report Card

Looks like Muhyiddin is more popular then Najib as a PM choice among BN followers.

Pause for moment and take the poll on the left of this page please before continuing.

A Brief Summary of
The Hishamuddin Hussein Onn Report Card
Opened

Hishamuddin Hussein Onn Background

UMNO's founder and Grandfather to Hisham
A fourth Generation politician, his grandfather was the founder of UMNO and later  got disillusioned by the very party he founded because it was racist from its inception and refused to open its doors to other races. His grandfather Datuk Onn bin Jaffar then formed another party called Party Negara the rest is history.

However the son of Onn Jaffar, Tun Hussein Onn joined UMNO  stayed in UMNO became its President and was methodically ousted or for that matter removed  by Mahathir bin Mohammed.

Though an upright man of impeccable integrity Hussein Onn was not much of a leader, and facing the likes of Mahahtir Mohammed he was forced to give way after Mahathir literally cleared his desk after he returned from a by pass in London, stating that he was medically unfit to continue, and doing so as though he was indeed very concerned as a doctor about his boss - the fact being Mahathir was only waiting for the first opportunity to sit on the PM's desk.
Now his son and the grandson of Onn bin Jaffar is our Minister of Home Affairs, a far cry from his esteemed father and grandfather.

It was his father who once said "If I am trusted to serve, if the country wants me, I will not refuse at whatever cost to me, but to scramble for office at whatever cost, no!."

As his own son Hishamuddin put it, "he was there when the nation needed him most," it was he who authorised the arrest and trial of Dato Harun Idris the all powerful UMNO youth head of the time and the Menteri Besar of Selangor, that act of his was something every other PM and even his son shied away from in the face of bigger corruption scandals.

His son as  the Minister of home affairs who has the authority to do so, who controls both the MACC and the Police force did not have the courage to do what his father did, and why? I'll leave you to draw the conclusions.

If we had a man of Tun Hussein Onn's integrity this nation would not have been cheated of the billions it has by all the corrupt scandals.

All cabinet members have a report card, and Hishamuddin Hussein Onn is no exception,

Tun Hussein Onn the father
Well of course that is the one report card written by him and his cousin, and who do they think they are trying to fool?

It can't be a report for  his father, because this is not a school report card, and his father is not around,  the report card is meant for the rakyat, the rakyat put him there to work and that is precisely what he is supposed to do, so let us as Rakyat,  look at some of the aspects of his work and let him and the nation know how he has performed.

Let us give him a report card.

Before going into some of the details of Hishamuddin's report card, we must understand that Najibs' predecessors preferred to have low performing ministers in their cabinet, this trend was of course started by Mahathir Mohammed and that is why he moved anyone who was more intelligent than him out of cabinet and phased them out.

Now whilst Abdullah Badawi did not have a clue of whom he chose for his cabinet, Najib was even worse and as a result we have the world's least intelligent Minister of Home Affairs, but then how can we complain, Najib is in the same category when we compare him with other Prime Ministers.

A face of incompetence
Now Hishamuddin Husssein Onn the once UMNO Youth Chief who drew out a Keris and threatened to draw blood of what can only be seen to have been directed to only the Chinese is certainly not the material for Home Minsiter, that will go down in Najib's report card for choices Najib has failed. So Najib scores a  (D) a D means job performance well below expectations.

For starters let us begin with his handling of the Teoh Beng Hock case.

Teoh Beng Hock Case
If he had even the minimal amount of intelligence he would have used it to gain the confidence of all Malaysians.

As minister of Home Affairs he should have immediately ordered a thorough investigation into the case,a special police task force should  have been brought in to investigate and the truth without frills should have been exposed.

If that was done he would have come out with flying colours instead he chose to hide behind the Attorney Generals' Chambers and allow the Police and the MACC to work hand in hand in what apparently looked like a massive cover up.

Score (D). In a system that has been riddled by corruption, where it has gone to its core,  this is what that can be expected, it is only apparent from this reaction that the system is so corrupt everything was compromised. It is seemingly  a case of you cover my back and I'll cover yours, or you tell on me and I'll tell on you and remember the higher you are on the pecking order there is so much more to tell.

The Handling Of Bersih
In the handling of the  Bersih cases.

He accused Bersih of being political when it was an NGO only looking to ensure free and fair elections, clean elections and thus the name "Bersih," remaining neutral, and encouraging everyone including UMNO to join the rallies.

Had he jumped the Band wagon and gone on with the "Bersih" plan both him and the party would l have been looked on in a more positive light, but he did not.

The Elections commissioner is supposed to be free of any obligations to,  and interference from  the political parties including the government, with so much irregularity exposed in their registration exercise UMNO should have been the most interested  party in the  cleaning the rolls, instead they defended the  Elections Commission.

Hishamuddin declared the rallies illegal, refused to give the venues they had requested although the venues were available and instead used the Police force under his control to brutally attack and assault those participating, the police even went to the extent to attack a Hospital, which he so vigorously denied when  even the daughter of Mahathir  testified in the press that the hospital was attacked, , he passed it off as lies, one demonstrator died as a result of suffocation from tear gas fired on the crowd by the police, the Court was shocked at his behaviour and it is quite clear he did not intervene because he had an interest not to interfere with the Elections commissions unclean records. It is suspect he was was working hand in glove with the commission.(See Immigration)

Score (D-) {D- denotes extremely poor performance, incapable of performing this aspect of his work.}
He did not see the opportunity of gaining the trust of Malaysians, by allowing the rally and in fact participating in it, he did not use the police force to protect citizens in peaceful assembly a Constitutional  right, he failed terribly in his role as Minster of Home Affairs.

Security.
This man failed to even stop the men from his own party, behaving like thugs harassing, threatening  and blockading Ambiga's home. (Ambiga as the chairperson of  Bersih 2.) and even though threats to her life were made the Police refused to act and as Minister of Home affairs internal security was his responsibility, and yet he refused to act.

UMNO supporters doing Butt exercises outside Ambiga's home
He took her organisation of Bersih campaigns to the personal level, he lacked the professionalism in seeing that as a citizen she was entitled to security, a function he is responsible for as Minister of Home Affairs, he could not allow thugs to take the law into their own hands that would only result in anarchy if others decided to react, as a lawyer by training he did not see the implications of his inaction,  he refused to get the Police to act - a gross dereliction of duty, and as Home  Minster this was not acceptable at all.

His silence in the affair only made him a party of what was going on by members of his own political party.

He allowed his personal interest to override national interests, and this is totally unbecoming of a  member of Parliament who has to act responsibly , leave alone the Minister of Home affairs.

This is conduct we'd not expect from even the Junior officers of the ministry entrusted with such roles.

Score (D-) {incapable of performing this major aspect of his work. Seems to lack the mental capacity to carry on. }

His attitude to Ambiga Sreenivasen  a former President of the  Malaysian Bar Council with a record of remarkable achievements, internationally recognized,  the receipant of the International Women of Courage Award  was careless, he did not recognise the implications of his actions and how it would affect the credibility of the Malaysian  government internationally as it was clearly a reaction on his part having taken the issue to a personal level.
His professionalism especially being a trained lawyer is now brought into question by these acts. Was it even legal that he should turn a blind eye on people who have gone to threaten Ambiga no matter what the provocation, being a lawyer he must be one of the first persons to have recognised that, his failure point only to a gross dereliction of duty.

The Sabah Attack
A show of incompetence again, grossly irresponsible behaviour it was not his role to get involved here, it is a foreign invasion by any account when the Army of a Foreign Sultanate lands on our shores fully armed to claim territory as theirs, and states  its intention to keep that territory.

Hishamuddin  allows his Police Chief in the district to "negotiate" with the armed intruders, his police force who spotted these intruders should have immediately called in the army, this was not their job it was an act of war,  and this group of invaders should have been dealt with severely.

This was an act of war, no quarter to ask for,  no quarter to be given, if it needed to  be, the entire band of intruders should have been shot dead, if it was not possible to get them to surrender or if it was impossible to capture them.

What has resulted is that these men are still in lurking  in the jungles of Sabah, or taking refuge with local Suluks who have been given stay in Malaysia by Mahathir Mohammed,  and only after sacrificing the precious lives of some of our Policemen did he realise the job was too big for him, but not before going to pose with press photographers a safe distance away from the danger scene.

All this because he gave them the time they required to infiltrate and take control.

A total failure.

Score (D-) He does not have a grasp of his functions, does not know and understand the boundaries within  which his authority lies, lacks total   understanding of all his job functions incapable of performing important tasks, lacks strategic mindset, dangerous for this  role, should not have been placed in the ministry in the first place,  his actions prove that for his own personal reasons of trying to look good he will sacrifice the security of the nation.

Certainly unfit for any post of responsibility, not the material required for being custodian of internal security, in fact not even the material for member of parliament.

Has brought shame to the country, to himself and his esteemed family but does not seem to realise it.

Immigration
Had been more involved in petty political squabbles, fighting shadows, creating problems, that he has ignored this all important aspect of his work.

Illegal foreign population seems to be on the rise by the day.

Hishamuddin  is suspected to have reached a deal with foreign illegals to be given stay in the country, and some sort of legal status, maybe even citizenship if they if vote the BN.

Evidence supporting  such happenings seemed to have surfaced in the Klang valley in that illegals have been registered as voters, there have been cases where Malaysian studying abroad have been registered here without their consent fueling speculation that the immigration department a department under his ministry would have provided such details to local assistant registrars as it is impossible for  the EC to know who is "out" and "in" form this country, to get another person to register on his/her behalf.

In a statement to Malaysiakini, Klang MP Charles Santiago asked , "How can they be registered when they claimed they have not done so. The EC claims that the electoral rolls are clean."

"I state otherwise - that this will be the dirtiest election of all. To make matters worse, we cannot challenge the rolls because of Section 9A of the Election Act, where gazetted electoral rolls cannot be challenged.

"For those residing overseas, how could people register for them unless they have been informed by the Immigration Department," he told Malaysiakini.

The Selangor EC chief has allegedly admitted to a DAP Parliamentarian that an UMNO assistant registrar had registered many such voters.

Coming in light of the fact that this has been highlighted by Bersih way back and his complete refusal to take the complaints seriously and  nip this in the bud, places the integrity of the GE13 in question.

Score (D-) Hishamuddin does not have the mindset nor the intelligence to handle the function of Member of Parliament leave alone the function of Minster of Home affairs.

There were indications of this whilst he was deputy minster and head of UMNO youth.

The Triad
The choice of this less intelligent person to head the all important ministry of home affairs brings the competence of the Prime Minister himself into  question, this was  a grievous error of judgement, the continuation of Hishamuddin as Minister of Home affairs only goes to show that the Prime Minister was careless and unconcerned with Hishamuddin's performance the security of the nation was allowed to be compromised, and the PM allowed the situation to deteriorate without taking any serious action. A new minister should have been put in his place, someone who understood the issues and the implications of actions, but this was not the case.

What is worrying is that the Police have been warning about troubles during the next elections, is this because various parties have resolved to check on illegals going to cast their vote? Are the police going to go out there to protect these illegals, where a situation cloud arise that would deem the people trying to stop the illegals as "trouble causers?"

Will we get a lesson from Mahahtirism, where this government of Najib Tun Razak will in the even they lose ask the courts to declare the elections null and void, as was the case with UMNO under Mahathir?

It's not only this Minister who is a misfit, but the Prime Minster himself.

Under these circumstances it is dangerous if   people decide to retain this PM and his cabinet. We have no choice but to make a change an Urgent change.

UMNO reigns supreme - MCA Supremo Dumped

Pause for moment and take the poll on the left of this page please before continuing.

By Toffee

For all the flak about Pakatan infighting which is widely publicised by  the MCA's organ, "The Star" and the Barisan controlled Chinese media, see what is happening in Barisan. UMNO has struck its biggest partnere in a do or die battle where they can't afford to lose a single seat.

Chua had earlier said not to ask him about candidates as it was Najib who'd decide and so it was, Najib has decided that Chua will not stand, he is too big a risk.

The question to ask now is. Will Chua keep to his word and resign if Ong Tee Keat is fielded, or will he sing another song?

For some time now this blog has said that Chua Soil Lek will not be given a seat to contest in the next general elections.

Putting on a brave front and hiding the disappointment
On hindsight we feel rather stupid for  even having stated the obvious.

Obvious? Yes so obvious, because the opposition would have had a field day with Chua Soi Lek's sexual trysts, not because of the affair as such but because what he did was an offence punishable with a jail term and fine or both.

Chua Soi Lek admitted that the man on the video was him, now it is also stated that the video contained parts of him performing oral sex.

Oral sex is an offence in our law and it is that part that he can be charged for and even jailed, in fact he should  have, but for the mercy of the Attorney General. Now with his record Najib had the easiest time telling him he can't be fielded, and Chua had only this to say, "Yes Sir!" I suppose, he had no choice, no choice at all.

If he tried to lay down his cards with hard  talk,  Najib would have had him charged and  locked up by getting the attorney general to do just that, and that would  have been the least difficult task for Najib,   even though Najib himself  can be investigated and very likely charged and convicted, for so many more serious alleged wrong doings which are  considered much bigger offences than that committed by Dr. Chua Soi Lek,  Chua can't do a thing.

Chua is only  MCA's President and Najib is UMNO's as it  is now clearly indicated by this move that the MCA  is  a toothless mouse in the Barisan.

Now it is seemingly clear that Najib has dumped the President of MCA, when you dump the President you are in fact dumping the party as without the President you are rudderless, Chua Soil Lek will have no control on what goes on in the cabinet and the Parliament so how effective a president can he make? How effective a leader of the Chinese will he become? Ong Tee Keat was right.

Chua is reported to have said, "in the history of MCA, this is the first time that there is a full-time party president, I wish to continue that role in the general election, where I can campaign full-time for BN candidates, particularly for MCA," but he forgot to say too that this is the last time as MCA may be non existent after this elections.

Following Chua Logic he should not contest
If that was true, that as President it is important for him to concentrate on campaigning nationally for the party and if it was to hold  any water, then Najib should  have been the first person to do that, not Chua, after all UMNO is so much bigger a party than MCA.

If as party president he is not standing he might as well stand down as president of the MCA,  and allow a more capable person to take on that position, this only goes to show that the removal of Ong Tee Keat was not only an MCA issue but one that was dictated by UMNO at a time Tee Keat was so adamant about exposing the PKFZ scandal. Najib took over the task from Ong Tee Keat and today the 12 billion ringgit scandal is almost history.

So is MCA really independent?

In the past he had brushed aside Ong Tee Keat's Claim  that he should not contest the elections because of the DVD scandal claiming he was a winnable candidate anywhere and now suddenly he looks so concerned for MCA he has decided no to stand because for so many other "more worthy reasons." Look,  we are all idiots and are supposed to buy that, the lame excuses of the MCA President.

Now this brings to examine MCA's role in the Barisan. As we all know the Barisan is only UMNO the MCA, the MIC, the Gerakan and all the rest are nothing but "window dressing," and the UMNO can change the mannequins any time they wish, and so they have done.

Chief mannequins  are paid lofty sums via contracts, and other deals to make huge amounts of money, so every Ah Kow, Kow Chye, and Soi Lek wants to be the president of MCA, but if Soil Lek looks back all former MCA president's were ministers with very important portfolios and he has none, although he was made to step down from the Health Ministry which he did  reluctantly and at that time he was not the MCA President.

He can't take Najib to task, because as the president of the MCA he has no power over Najib but that Najib has all the power over him, does this not expose the MCA.

Totally irrelevant head of Wanita UMNO
Chau Soi Lek  his "Star" newspaper and the rest of the Barisan controlled media will give all the "noble" excuses for his not standing, but we Malaysians are not fools, is it so coincidental that the President of the MCA and the President of Wanita UMNO are not being fielded, one with a sex case scandal hanging over his head for which no action has been yet  taken, and the other all because of cows.

After the next General Elections both these leaders will walk down sunseet strip, as the sun will set on respective their political careers, and is it really even worth mentioning it here? It is again a matter of stating the obvious.

What political career can these two presidents have if they are not  privy to cabinet decisions, if the are not privy in arguing out the interests of the people they are supposed to be championing? How effective can they be?

In truth it really does not matter, in the Barisan in the case  for MCA at least, anything MCA gets comes from UMNO and on the generosity of UMNO, that is why no component party in the Barisan dared confront Mahathir when he questioned our right to citizenship.

Chua Soi Lek must certainly know MCA history,  especially those parts related to Mahathir Mohammed, where in 1969 whilst standing as an Alliance candidate he told the Chinese attending his ceramah not to do so, as he would not be representing their interests in parliament. At that time the Alliance as it was then known comprised UMNO, the MCA and MIC only. Mahathir lost that election to my friend Yusof Rawa, and was subsequently sacked from UMNO because of his extreme racial views, especially against the Chinese. he was sacked by the Tunku and brough back later by Harun Idris and Tun Razak, because in fact he was their Guru at that time and that is why I say he was the architect of May 13, 1969.

Specimens of identical plumage -Fascists!
This same Mahathir at that time said, that the citizenship of the non Malays were given with the consent of the Malays and it could be withdrawn.

When he came to power as PM  he said all  that were his views in the past and that he had changed, then later he would credit the Chinese and say they were the biggest tax payers in the country, and now he is head over heels in love with Ibrahim Ali whom he supports because he sees Ibrahim Ali as a his best bet to put his son in power the crooked way.

Why was MCA so silent in the face of his racist comments recently?

Why was Chua Soi Lek so silent in the face of Ibrahim Ali's rhetoric?

If indeed he and the MCA represented the rights of the Chinese and is so charitable to Indians where he gave them the Buntong seat in Ipoh as he claims, why as such a champion did he not stand up and take Mahathir to task when Mahathir questioned the citizenship of the Indians and Chinese in the country?

The last time I said Samy Velu is a better leader than Najib, now it looks like he is a better leader than Chua Soi Lek as well, not that Samy is the best - far from it, but certainly better than both these clowns - don't believe me ask Mahathir.

Muhyiddin uses 30 buses to attack Sri Andalas

(Take a few seconds participate in the poll on the left side of this page before continuing to read)

My Kampung was under BN attack and we did not feel a thing.

By Toffee
The Deputy Prime Minister came to Sri Andalas in Klang (my Kampung) with 30 busses of which 14 were from Perak, a couple form Melaka, another two from Johor, one from Kedah, the Victoria Institution bus a Special Bus for UITM, many from Kuala Lumpur and two from Klang, they were all charted for a function he held during schooling hours in the Tamil Primary School in Taman Sri Andalas in Klang.

At least 300 cars some from as far as Negeri Sembilan and Melaka, the rest from Lower Perak, and Selangor, many from Kuala Lumpur were also at the scene.

I talked to a couple who had just alighted from their car, parked in the residential area of Taman Sri Andalas, they were from Seramban, I asked them what was going on they said they were going to the school for a function, but there were BN workers all around in blue BN shirts, support Najib shirts etc, and so I asked, "is it a school function or a Barisan Nasional function," and the well dressed Indian lady in heels and Sari said very excitedly, "yes, yes BN function." Imagine a BN function (political) held during school hours in a primary school, a primary Tamil school in Taman Sri Andalas.

Anybody from BN will know that if Muhyddin had come hoping to get the people of Sri Andalas there to attend his function there would  have been more Barisan flags then people there to greet him, as Sri Andalas is known as "Kubu Pembangkang," it is indeed a PAS/PKR fortress and I am sure he was warned about it too so he got bus loads of MIC members and all the MIC members in Selangor many form Negri, and Perak to join in too.

There were also vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Education  in the area and at a time this man Muhyiddin is only a caretaker, we probably have to tell him he is now only a big time school jaga and has no authority to use government funds or for facilities especially if it is for campaigning purposes, the next government must actually charge these people personally for these expenses.

A School jaga taking over the school for political purposes during school hours, looks like the Gurus Besar  have lost their  authority to run their schools to UMNO, even Samy Velu never did this.

Elsewhere

In light of this heavy campaigning by the BN the elections commission seems to be playing along , Najib seems to have told them when they should call the elections, and there is no denying that, no announcement of the date has been made although parliament has already been dissolved, in the past it was almost instant to prevent the opposition form campaigning, now he is taking his time to give Najib his time to finish his work in preparing the electoral list.

Latest reports coming from inside UMNO is, Hishamuddin, Khairy, Nazri, Rais Yatim, and Chuah Soi Lek will not be fielded, and looks like Chua has to submit his papers to the MCA as Ong Tee Keat is to be retained at Pandan - a  slap on the face for the MCA chief. The seat was offered to Chuah to give to his son but he refused he feels the constituency will send his son the the dustbins of Malaysian political history and it is very possible that his son will get no seat too, his son looks a sure loser and the BN can't afford it.

Mahathir is doing a lot behind the scenes, demanding that  Ibrahim Ali be fielded or that UMNO should not contest him if he stands as an independent. The stage is set for Mukhriz to be lined up for the position of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs if the BN wins, that will be the position to give out illegal Identity cards.

The minister of defence is looking quite safe, he seems to have won Najib's confidence he has steered clear of controversy and successfully shielded Najib from the Scorpene inquiry in France. The PM is rather comfortable with Ahmad Zahidi who for now seems to be the most secure of UMNO candidates so far.

Najib's decision to sacrifice Hishamuddin is an attempt to prove to Malaysians that he does not practice nepotism, but of course he is now training his son, and has his brothers holding high offices by virtue of his prime Ministership after all Hisam is only a cousin and he is going to be the sacrificial cow.

Talking about cows, Najib may field the cow lady in Kuala Kangsar, and get Rafidah to support her candidacy, but then if we remember well Rafidah almost lost that seat at the last General Elections. She narrowly won the contest against Khairuddin Abdul Malik of PAS obtainign only 52 percent of the votes cast.

The cow lady  is however vying something more comfortable, she has told Najib that, she claims that being the leader of the Wanita wing she deserves that, but is that what the leader of the the Wanita leader is worth that she knows if she goes to Pantai she will again lose to a little girl so she sends a male bully to bully that little girl instead and asks for a safer seat. Where can she be safe? I'd suggest to Najib to send her to Penang, after all that is her home.

That little girl Nurul Izzah Anwar is no pushover, she has invited Raja Nong Cik to come out and have debate with her, but that man is too much of a coward and  chooses to use money to buy over the voters instead.

The sickness of UMNO money politics has now moved one level lower, it has moved to the extent that now they do not only bribe the party members but the voters - the general public, the electorate, and this is the surest way to bankrupt the country.

Najib's and UMNOs' game is to bankrupt the nation before the elections, then to use taxes to reap everything back from the people if they win, or to blame the opposition of bad governance if they lose.

The GST will be introduced with brutal force so that almost everything we purchase will be subject to tax, you'll be taxed for buying school uniforms, shoes, water purification units, food, and for services too, so you'll be taxed for garbage collection that is you pay over what you are already paying, for water so they do not have to blame the privatised companies, you'll be taxed to kingdon=m come and yet you'll have to pay higher income taxes.

Income tax will be higher for the lower earners, medical treatment will be expensive for everyone, the country will suffer most becuse the cash we earn from agencies like Petronas goes to feed a select few and they are not prepared to give it up, and what is even more disturbing is they are now using Petronas to steal workers savings.

We are heading into hard times very hard times, we'll be worse off than we were in the sixties and all because we have a corrupt and responsible Government, who will even go to the extent of bribing you to win, and why, because there is so much more of corrupt dollars to earn at your expense.

In a just announced move Petronas has upped the suffering MISC shares by 20 sen taking it from RM5.30 to RM5.50 and EPF would be silly to put its money on that ailing Company, Mahathir's dream that went sour.

If this Government had any moral sense at all it should allocate  Petronas shares to EPF and it should be given at an extremely reasonable price as Petronas is after all the peoples Company and not Mahathir's, that way the peoples money will be saved.

This and more is what BN is setting up the stage for,  but a few things for certain, petrol prices are going up after the elections if BN wins, more toll will be collected  and more imposed, electricity tarrifs will be increased, water will go up, more monopolies put in place to enrich the rich and the gap between rich and poor  is to be widened, that is the capitalism of today.

What is even more dangerous with imbeciles like Najib an Noor Yacob to look after our finances we are expected to go down the way of the Greeks, Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, Ireland.

Are we ready for that? Do we really want that?  Or are we going to put a stop to it.

UMNO members who are real nationalists must realise that their party must lose this time around and allow for some cleansing, the young tuks in UMNO whom I have been following believe that too must be done to   allow UMNO to be cleansed to give the people of Malaysia a healthy choice in government.

So what is your choice?

One vote for BN is two votes for Rosmah Mansor

BN today stands for  Bini Najib.

Are you going to vote for Bini Najib?
