Sabah- It's a case of turning on the Master

Mahahtir claimed we were compassionate to the Army of the Sultan of Sulu because they are 'Muslims," we are now being told the Sultan of Sulu is close friend of  UMNO with some saying he is a member, and now even worse, the Moro Rebels are in this team that has invaded territory in Malaysia. Now I suppose that is Anwar's fault.

In history there are many cases f rebels turning agaisnt their own cause, and this is one, must be one especially after what Mahahtir said aboutthe Muslim connection in this entire episode. If you remember well the movemnt that stole a cacheof Arms from an army depot in perak, he di not want them killed that was the order given by him, even though they had killed two other Malaysians and was that because they were Muslims?

We have seen that streak in him publicly, when our Malaysians reached the summit of Mount Everest, the disappointment showed on his face, it was live on National TV, when he asked who were those wh reached the summit and when told he was disappointed, and did not say more, it was a talking point throughout the country, only that we are a bit too polite and allow such racialists their way. Nazri was right he is bloody racialist and he discriminates even by religion, that is why he did not want Joseph Pairin as Chief Minister of Sabah.

A rebel is a rebel is a rebel, he will turn on on everything that comes his way, he never stops and that is something this government has to learn and I hope is learning before it becomes too late. We have to seriously reexamine our role in Southern Thailand, let the Thais solve their own problems their own way, why are we getting involved? If the Bangkok Times carried a we'll discover that most Thais think we are involved in one way or another supporting the rebels and for what so that they can turn against us tomorrow?

From the Horses Mouth

Today the Manila times reports that Nur Misuari, who founded the Moro National Liberation Front an who benefited out of Malaysia's assistance admitting that his fighters are involved in the Sabah incursion.

This reminds me of our involvement in Thailand, we seem to be looking like shit stirrers by our neighbours, Thais treat us with a lot of suspicion, our concerns for rebels do not sem sincere, it stems from the Mahahtirian attitude of "because they are Muslims," if PAS the PAS government decides to break away from Malaysia and take the Northern states with them will Mahahtir say the same thing? That was something the BN had accused the PAS of trying to do before anyway.

. The Manila Times report below, Mahathir what have you to say.

Muslim rebels involved in Malaysia: MNLF

MANILA: Members of a major Philippine Muslim rebel force who were meant to have disarmed in the 1990s as part of a peace pact are involved in deadly battles in Malaysia, the group's leader said on Tuesday.

Nur Misuari, who founded the Moro National Liberation Front in the late 1960s, confirmed "freedom fighters" from his group were part of the militia sent by a self-proclaimed sultan to claim the Malaysian state of Sabah.

"I cannot deny that some of them are known to be MNLF freedom fighters," Misuari told a news conference in Manila, although he insisted he was not personally involved.

"They went there without my knowledge. I have not ordered anyone to join them. It would be very irresponsible for anybody to implicate us."

Misuari made the comments while visiting Jamalul Kiram III, the self-anointed Sultan of Sulu, who sent between 100 and 300 men from the southern Philippines to Sabah on February 12 to press his ownership claim.

Malaysian security forces launched a major offensive on Tuesday to end the standoff, which has so far left at least 27 people dead, although the sultan's men reported that they had survived.

The MNLF "freedom fighters" earnt their battle experience during decades of armed struggle against the Philippine government that cost tens of thousands of lives.

The MNLF had fought for an independent state in the southern Philippines, while also claiming Sabah state as part of their ancestral homeland.

The group signed a peace pact with the Philippine government in 1996 which created a Muslim autonomous region in the south, and set aside the claim over Sabah.

The MNLF peace pact led to a less-compromising splinter group, the Moro Islamic Liberation front, continuing the battle for independence.

The MILF is now close to signing a final peace deal with the government, which ignores the Sabah claim completely and would lead to the MNLF losing political influence in the southern Philippines.

Observers have speculated MNLF members may have helped launch the Malaysia offensive because they feared they were losing power.

However Misuari insisted MNLF leaders were not involved directly in the Malaysia standoff, and even offered to go to Kuala Lumpur to mediate a peaceful solution.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, President Benigno Aquino's spokesman, Edwin Lacierda, said that the Philippine Navy had stopped 70 more people from getting across the sea border to help the militants.

Nur Misuari warns the Malaysian Government (see para marked in red below)

FORMER Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao governor and Moro National Liberation Front chairman Nur Misuari yesterday denied reports that he instigated the followers of the Sultanate of Sulu and financed their trip to Sabah to re-stake the sultanate’s claim on the territory.

Misuari visited Sultan Jamalul Kiram III in his residence in Maharlika Village, Taguig City to express his support for the sultanate.

Misuari, in a press briefing, said he had nothing to do with the decision of the sultan’s followers led by his brother, Rajah Mudda Agbimuddin Kiram, to go to Sabah where they are engaged in clashes with Malaysian security forces.

“These are all wild speculations. In the first place, I have not inspired anyone since I cannot pre-empt the role of the Sultan. To finance it is out of the question of course,” he added.

Misuari said even if he has the means, there is no reason for him to finance Agbimuddin Kiram and his followers because funding only about 200 men is “not my way of doing things.”

He said if he had been involved, he would have mobilized thousands, like the 4,000-strong MNLF force that he deployed against the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu and the 5,000 that he sent out at the height of the Sipadan kidnapping crisis in 2001.

“So for anyone to speculate that I have anything to do with this is a kind of madness. It is very irresponsible to implicate me in this. But to say that I am not concerned over their fate is wrong. I have warned the Malaysian government that every drop of their (the Sultan’s men) blood is sacred to us,” he said.
But he said there might be some MNLF members among the sultan’s followers who went to Sabah without his permission.

President Aquino on Monday said a conspiracy was behind the Sabah voyage of Kiram’s followers and vowed to punish those responsible. Earlier reports mentioned Misuari and allies of former President now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Arroyo.

Aquino said Kiram could not have financed it all because he could not even shoulder his own dialysis treatments without help from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. He said sending a boatful of people to Sabah costs about P100,000 and at least two boats were initially sent to Lahud Datu.

Abraham Idjirani, spokesman of Kiram, said his group did not conspire with anyone in the Philippines or with the Malaysian opposition.

“Hindi namin kilala si Anwar Ibrahim (former Malaysian deputy prime minister and opposition leader) at wala kaming pag-uusap sa kanya o sa anu pa mang grupo,” he said.

He said Ibrahim and the United Malay National Organization are both pushing for the strengthening of Malaysia, which includes Sabah.

He said such reports are meant to sully the image of the sultanate which is steadfast in pressing its claim and will continue fighting until the problem is resolved.

In MalacaƱang, presidential adviser Edwin Lacierda asked why former National Security Advise Norberto Gonzales felt alluded to when Aquino said that possible conspirators from the previous administration were being investigated by the Department of Justice in connection with the Sabah standoff.

“Guilty siya? The President never mentioned anybody. He said that ‘I will not name names until I have sufficient evidence.’ Meron ba siyang sinabi? Wala pong sinabi si Pangulong Aquino (na) pangalan, so hindi ko alam kung bakit ang pakiramdam ni Ginoong Gonzales ay siya ang tinutukoy ni Pangulong Aquino. Wala hong pangalang nilabas si Pangulong Aquino,” he said.

Lacierda said investigations are still ongoing and the government would file charges, including against the alleged conspirators, backed with credible evidence “at the proper time.”

‘SIDING WITH THE ENEMY’
Misuari slammed Aquino for “siding with the enemy of his people,” even as he warned that arresting or killing Agbimuddin Kiram would result in “total chaos.”

He said he called Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and told him that killing the Agbimuddin Kiram would be “tantamount to a declaration of war against our people and the MNLF.”

“It is our sacred duty to protect our people. We have one-and-a-half million people living in different parts of Sabah,” he said.

Misuari said if Aquino has nothing good to say, then “he should not open his mouth anymore.”

“What they have done is very bad. It is very unbecoming of a head of state. Why is he siding with the enemy of his own people? I don’t know who is advising him and for what reason. Why he is allying himself with Malaysia, a colonial power instead of our own people? I am totally against that. I hope the President is properly advised and would recant so we could forgive him,” he said.

Former Tawi-Tawi governor Al Tillah said Aquino’s stand smacked of a “sell-out” not only of the Sultanate of Sulu but also of the entire Filipino people. Tillah also visited Kiram.

He said Aquino should have brought the issue before the international community for arbitration.
Tillah is current chairman of the Islamic Society of the Philippines which was founded by the late Sultan Jamalul Kiram II to advance the welfare of the Muslim community in Mindanao. – With Jocelyn Montemayor

The Sabah Claim reinstated

Amidst all the activity or shall we rightfully say inactivity in Lahad Datu one thing is becoming apparently clear and it has all to do with this illegal landing of Soldiers of the Royal Sulu Army into Malaysian held territory and the reluctance of the Barisan Government to act decisively and effectively.

The Philippines Star in an online  Survey today  (Sunday 3rd March 2013) is asking these questions;
Are you in favor of PNoy's call to Sultan Kiram to order his people to leave Sabah?  ; and
"Should the Philippines revive its Sabah claim?"  with a resounding 85 percent of the respondents saaying "YES". and that spells the mood in the Philippines today.

To the first question 53 percent of the respondents have said "NO" to  44percent saying yes and the remaining responded "not sure."

Going south where the Malaysian Government would expect some Sympathy from the Moro rebels it is rather clear that all the efforts of the government has been washed away with this tide of Nationalism in the Philippines, it looks like even the Moro rebel chief now does not suspect his benefactors in the Malaysian government.

The President of Philippines has called the invaders to surrender,  "without conditions," that amounts to say, "Okay we shall leave but that does not mean we have no rights here and we are not going to come back."

The question is will the Malaysian government accept such a surrender and if they do what are the implications to future landings.

Princess Jaycel Kiram, speaking for the Sultanate of Sulu yesterday said their followers did not intend to leave Sabah despite Friday's bloody crackdown.

“The decision remains the same, because honor is above life. This is a clear message of the sultanate. What’s the use of life if we lose our honor,” she said. - See more at: http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2013/03/03/915181/surrender-without-conditions#sthash.dyDHr750.dpuf

Whilst the President of the Philippines has been asking the invaders to surrender and pursue different means, it is clear that in the Philippines sentiment in Philippines is growing by the day and the sympathy is now with Raja Muda who is leading this invasion.

Philippine sentiment seems to be agaisnt the government it feels the government is snot doing enough and wants seem to want the government to take a tougher stance with the Malaysian government.

The Manila times in  its Sunday edition carried a headline article titled, "Bring Sabah issue to the International Court of Justice Now," a clear reflection of the wishes of the people of the Philippines now, and our reaction is one in which Malaysians are ill informed and the Malaysian Government is chasing its own tail.

Whilst all this is going on Najib is talking big and doing nothing in Malaysia, the army he built seems incapable of handling the situation so much so he had to use the police force.

As my friend Mr. C. Joseph Katam put it , ' the last time this army went to war was to cull pigs in the Sepang area, and since then they have not seen a war," Mr. Joseph went on to say that on Friday the army was busy preparing ro the Armed forces day in Port Dickson and what he saw was really pathetic, Army trucks broken down on the way to Port Dickson due to poor maintenance, "what will be the fate of our tanks,   submarines, frigates and air force planes, if this is the condition of the lorries?" he asked.

Looks like our soldiers have been having a good time, and are not prepared for this task, why is it Police personnel are being should rightfully be an issue for the army.

Looks like our Prime Minister is more concerned with what necklace Rosmah is going to use for the next public function, and in the midst of all that the Philippines is reinstating its claim to Sabah.

Election Campaign Begins.

It's Toffee’s Turn
Goes on the campaign Trail

UMNO in real threat

There is a real threat that UMNO will break up into tiny fragments after this GE win or lose.  The battle being waged with for seat allocation is not only between Najib and Muhyiddin as previously thought  but according Zainuddin Atan an UMNO  member from Kedah,  Mukhriz who is only a deputy minister has entered the fray with his aged and senile father, and other factions especially in Negeri Sembilan and Melaka are fighting ferociously for their people to come aboard.

The Negeri Sembilan team is the strongest but hey are only concentrating in Negeri Sembilan they say, "Najib can do what he likes with other states we do not care, but leave NS to us," said a former strong man from Negeri Sembilan.

If  Najib has his own way and does not return with the two third majority he is minced meat, not only him the factions are threatening to ensure that even Muyiddin steps down and it smells of a conspiracy by the father of all conspirators and that you'll know who?

Najib confided with one of his close aids, 'it is easier to take on the opposition than sort out this seat issue."

 Pakatan unveils its manifesto
Pakatan has released its elections manifesto and is on the go throughout Malaysia.

Pakatan's rallies begin with a recording of Najibs famous slap in the face question of, "Are you Ready of BN" and he  get's  that resounding slap in the face with "NO!!!!"  it only got louder with each call indicating the rakyats anger over UMNO and all its cronies in the BN.

The Pakatan manifesto amongst other things talks about free education, lower car prices to stop Mahahtir and other UMNO lackeys from profiting  at the rakyat's expense, abolishing of the PTPN loan, recovering wealth (money) taken illegally from the people, read al about it here.........read more

MCA's Desperate Ng Yen Yen screws up big time.

Like Chua Soi Lek says,  "the big crowds at MCA functions indicate that we have  the support of the Chinese," trying desperately to sound  like Kong Fuzi (孔夫子)  and then his lady in waiting Ng Yen Yen goes out to show him he is no Confucius, he is not even a pale shadow of that sage,   in fact he and the rest of BN are utterly stupid and confused and this article will show how a Doctor could make a fol of herself in desperation.

"Big crowds?" not really, but even then those in that crowd who came  for what was supposed to be a Chap Goh Mei party which Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen turned into a political rally, gave this woman Minister of Tourism a piece of their mind.

NONE
Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen
According to Nanyang Siang PauYen Yen said that the BN Government would organise a bigger Chap Goh Meh festival celebration if ti won the next General Elections and asked the crowd to show their  *appreciation by saying "yes" for which she received a unanimous "No!!!!" she kept on asking and all she got was the repeated "NO!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!!!!" .

She outdid her boss according to the Chinese who observed the show, they claim that the crowd responded "NO!!!!!" more times than they did for Najib.

She said the BN government would organise a bigger Chap Goh Meh celebration if it won the coming general election, and asked the crowd to concur with her by saying "yes".

For sure the Pakatan  will use this at their elections rallies in Melaka.

The Pakatan is already using Najib's "Are you ready for BN!!!?" for their rallies and all they get is a resounding "NO!!" and now Yen Yen has added more to that.

Pakatan announces it is ready for Putrajaya

Pakatan leaders are going around the country announcing that they are ready for GE 13, they are in the midst of agreeing on seat allocation for the various Parliamentary and State seats to ensure a one-on one contest with the BN.

PAS has warned illegal immigrants and foreigners of the so-called citizenship-for-votes scheme not to come out and try to vote as a group called Asalkan Bukan Umno (ABU) are looking into the matter to ensure that only bona fide voters turn up to vote.

DAP deputy chairperson Tan Kok Wai said, "The BN thinks it will remain in power forever. We are united in defeating BN, and not only that, we will have a big win with a thumping majority.”

In a clear reference to the government controlled media all Pakaktan parties are urging the people not to be taken in by what they read and hear in the media, as it is full of lies and slanted truths, like what yous see in the YEN Yen report above, it has not been reported in any of the government controlled media.

Najib to stand in Putrajaya?

The question of who will become prime minister - should Pakatan Rakyat form the federal government - is “not an issue”, according to opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.

No one makes such announcements, and it should  not be a big issue.

Anwar asked if the BN manifesto stated that Najib would  be the next PM.

It  is rather obvious to become the next PM Najib must first win Pekan and even that looks shaky at the moment, the people of Pekan are fed up of the way of its most famous son is being dictated along by a woman and it is rumored that Najib  will stand in Putrajaya this time around.

Husaimah Mohammed a small trader in Pekan said,  " it is rather a disgrace, that he should behave that way, even on the TV she takes over from him, after all she is not so big, she has been married three times, she was not a virgin bride to him,  we have no issues with that  but that with all that she  she controls him, we all feel shameful and wonder why he does not feel that way, his family should tell him to learn to take control, we have decided  we will not vote for this son of Tun Razak, he is even afraid to let University boys come around here to campaign, we all feel his is afraid they will expose more of those secrets."

One opposition candidate suggested he stand in Sulu when he was asked if Najib would stand in Putrajaya?

----------------------------------------------------------------

 Muhyiddin Get's tough with Najib

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyidn bin Yassin is getting tough with Najib on seat allocations,  the seat allocations could either make or break either of them after the GE.
It is no secret that Muhyidin is waiting to ask Najib to vacate his seat and Muhyiddin's  chances seem very bright, especially after the kind of response the BN is receiving all over the country.
On the other hand Najib is tryign to build his own power base from which  he can remove Muhyiddin even if he only scrapes through, and that is what he is expecting to happen this time around and this hass created a dead lock, and Najib is holding firm to his choices whilst Muhyiddin is not giving in either.
If Najib has his way Muhyiddin is as good as politically dead, he will be removed from his Deputy Minsters position at the very next UMNO general assembly the mechanics have long been in  place and the candidates to stand in safe seats have all been selected from the Najib camp an dMuhyiddin is fully aware of this.
Mahahtir as usual in his all so creepy way is only interested in his son, and feels whichever way it goes Mukhriz shoudl get promoted within sight of the PM's seat.
Old foes now hitting the campaign trail together

This battle royal has jsut begun to unfold and it is in Selangor, there are big players and old supporters, Muhyiddin on his part has an old foe former Rural and Regional Development Minister Muhammad bin Haji Muhammad Taib ( Mat Taib aka Mike Tyson ) on his side and although his grassroots support has dwindle a little over the years it is still significant not only in Selangor but all over the  country.
Not all is going well in UMNO and the MCA too, internal politics  seems to be heating up with a view of seat allocation...........watch for updates on this story.
