To Bring in ICERD peacefully we have to first get rid of Venarcular Schools.

THERE MUST BE A MINDSET CHANGE FROM ALL QUARTERS.
Recently there has been a spate of provocative incidents involving mostly UMNO and PAS influenced groups about ICERD.

The people at large are asking why the police are not taking action,  criticisms abound  on the PH government  and no one is spared.

The way I look at it there is a massive amount of ignorance on both sides of the divide, it is communal and it has been developed since the days of the British and advanced not only by the BN but the political system by and large, it reflects on both sides of the house the government and the opposition since independence.

Has he found a way of getting out of the trouble he is in?
The  UMNO/PAS leadership's  fanning of  discontent and discord  over ICERD among  their members, the majority of whom  do not have clue of what ICERD is, but go on and get incited by this leadership on the premise of what is told to them that it is a threat to the Malays, the Royals and Islam, that is what they have been told, they accept it  and it  only goes to show how ignorant these grassroots are.

Making the grasroots ignorant seemed to be UMNO's strategy in the NEP to control them.
Mahahtir has said and even Zahid and Hadi should know it is  an impossibility to Ratify ICERD, as we'd require to amend the Constitution first  and to do that the government has to have a two third majority voting in favour, which means PAS and many UMNO MPs will have to vote for it and to make matters worse there are even people in PH who are against it, so how are we going to get there.

 Why the Hurry?
I think the real issue of ICERD has to be discussed and understood across the board and as Anwar has put it very rightly:  why the hurry?

After all  Rome was not built in a day, and I really think that P Waytha Moorthy has jumped the gun. The new government has not even setteled in and he brings out such a controversial issue, it reflects on his political abilities.

Why the Hurry
I'd like to ask him if we can do away with Tamil schools, and Chinese Schools too?

If we are to be one people should we not have a single single school system, so that our children grow up together and and foster racial unity first?
I remember writing in an earlier article about HINDRAF that the Tamils who are marginalised are marginalised the day they go to Tamils schools.
Why, even when they come to the secondary schools where it's no longer a Tamil school they find it difficult to even associate with the Tamil boys who have spent all their primary education in the normal Government schools. They stick to themselves, talk Tamil among themselves an eventually get more marginalized.

Well I'll admit the situation is improving in Tamil schools but that is not the answer, getting out of the Tamils schools and putting a stop to this segregated educational system  is.

I am sure there will be many who will come and ask why?

Why?
Because we need our children to begin mixing and learning and playing together in close harmony with Malaysians of all races in one school system so that the  the mindset changes to that of Malaysians and not Chinese, Indian and Melayu,  they grow up as one and learn to appreciate each others point of view, then things will become more cordial.

Over time they'll learn to live as one. Over time of course if we began that from Independence we'd be there today. Lets start now so that our children's children will enjoy that one day.

This is where the education policy has to be seriously  looked into and revamped, turn the present thinking upside down, the changes have to be drastic.

I am sure we can gain  useful contributions to this from the present crop of Tamil and Chinese School boards too  and this can be done if there is a real will to unite everybody in this country as one people and one nation.

There is certainly a lot to learn from the Chinese schools to improve the quality of education for the children as much as  the Chinese Schools can learn from National Schools as well and the current crop of Tamils schools which have improved leaps and bounds in the quality of their students and curriculum now,  use that learning experience from all the types of schools to come out with a  single efficient and dynamic system led by a value system like the Rukun Negara.

Our biggest problem stems from the education system that allows the vernacular an Tafiz Schools to  segregate our students,  it  fosters division to the extent that it is almost enmity among Malaysians of different races from a very young age, what are we trying to do?

That is the root cause of all our problems.

If we can get that right,  we'll get this (ICERD) right then we are certainly on the road to unity and a unified country.

Excellent single stream education should  be our topmost priority. education cannot be discriminatory, equal opportunity should be given to all students with special care for rural schools.

Religion should be the domain of the various religious groups and there should be no coercing.coveting  and forcing minors with religious education not of their respective religions.

I am not talking about the Muslims alone, I am talking of the Christians too as it does happen in some cases.

After 61 years of Independence we are a  divided nation, more so now then at the pre-independence era and all this can be attributed to the educational system we fostered and promoted all these years, and all of us have to take the blame not the BN alone we allowed it to happen by bickering and promoting the vernacular system.

Pupils own language:

There are two sides to this coin, and I'd like to take the Sikhs as the example.

There are no Punjabi schools in this country, I mean regular Punjabi schools as there Tamil and Chinese Schools.
They have classes in their Gurduwaras where the language is taught, the parents who are keen that their children know their mother tongue make sure they attend and they learn the language well supervised..

There may be  some who may not be keen but they are not forced to do so, it is their choice of the parents, but going by percentage in population more Sikhs are committed to their Children learning Punjabi then Tamils having their Children learning Tamil and Chinese learning Chinese.
Any Introduction needed?
The Sikhs have made it a point to have Punjabi education for their children and they have catered for it, they even provide teacher training for Temples who require and do not have Punjabi teachers, All Sikhs speak Punjabi, Most in fact almost all speak Malay, many English and even Tamil and are Malaysians thru and thru and although a small community are very visible in the country, from the Courts to Parliament to Hospitals, the Police Force, Other branches of Government Service and of course the Bars all "Big Strong and Friendly."
Distinctly visible

If the Chinese and Tamils are really interested in their respective languages for their children they should make the necessary options available, based on demand the government could cater fo a third language .in the country, or leave it at two and let them choose between Bahasa which will be compulsory,  then English, Chinese or Tamil, this will strengthen the Bahasa.

If we are sincere about ICERD this is the route we have to take.

The poor education system in the country, the divisive nature of the system is what has brought this negativity about ICERD and where we are today in race relations.

Our History has to be really looked into and it should be focused on the truth too.

On the other side of the divide we see the ignorance of the UMNO and PAS influenced Masses, they are so narrow in their thinking that UMNO and PAS are actually using them the way the instigators of suicide bombers get innocent young people including children to blow themselves up with bombs.
This has become possible because UMNO with its NEP actually churned out not second class but fourth class graduates from universities, not all of them but a significant portion that you can tell them any nonsense and they'll buy it, as long as you tell them that  race and religion are a threat they will jump and start reacting they have made sure that Race, Religion and the Royalty are the flash point.
These people do not have an inkling about what they are talking about, in the first place they do not even understand what ICERD is but are effectively used by the leadership of these provocateurs, and as Mahathir rightly put it there will be no trouble unless Zahid starts it.

The likes of Zahid, Najib and even Hadi are keen to see the investigations into corrupt practices, money laundering and Criminal Breach of trust disappear and the one way they now probably see that as possible is by creating trouble - Big Touble.

The Police rightly are not acting they do not want to give these trouble makers the opportunity to start trouble on a big scale, all responsible Malaysians from both sides of the divide  have to keep calm and not give trouble makers the opportunity of inciting trouble.

Don't give them that Opportunity

It is therefore not surprising that some of the agitators we see today are even threatening people with the recurrence of May 13th and to me that is to be expected, this kind of talk and behavior because we are dealing with.   After all we know the architect of May 13th don't we?
If we are serious and show we are serious about improving our education system and if we are prepared to make the sacrifices of nation building then surely there is a possibility of a non Malay Education Minister as well in the future, it will take time,  people who  are truly qualified because once that trust is built,  the Malays will only be too happy to have the best man on this job after all it is eduction.

Are we ready for Nation Building?

Rejecting ICERD forfeits our right to lecture Aung San Suu Kyi

 What is ICERD?
 It is;

"The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. (ICERD) is a United Nations convention. A third  generation human rights instrument, the Convention commits its members to the elimination of racial discrimination and the promotion of understanding among all races."

As of May 2015, 189 states have ratified or acceded to the treaty,

Malaysia and Myanmar in the same league
Membership of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination:
  Recognise competence under Article 14
Do not recognise competence under Article 14
  Signed but not ratified
Neither signed nor ratified (Note the Grey Countries it includes Myanmar and Malaysia)

Malaysia is  contemplating on whether it should ratify The International Convention of All forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) and this is rather an issue of concern.

If one studies the reasons given by the various groups on the rejection of ratifying ICERD two issues stand out more than anything else;one is the Malay Race and the other is Islam. In fact if you narrow it down, those are the only two issues so far.
Clueless just following the leader

Now before I go on to address these issues brought forward we must realise one cardinal principle.

If we do not ratify ICERD or if we have no intention to ratify ICERD we, from this very moment loose our high ground of trying to be morally correct with the Rohinga issue in Myanmar, our criticism of Israel on the Palestinian issue, our stand on issues affecting peoples in other lands because we ourselves are involved in this kind of behaviour and sometimes even on a worse scale.

The Radical  Islamic Stamp

Let me visit the issue of Jamal Kashoggi for instance, whilst the whole world has made such an issue of the murder of this man, and rightfully so, the same world just forgot that in Malaysia 2 Pastor Joshua and wife  Ruth Helmi,  Pastor Raymond Koh and Amri Che Mat.

All these missing persons had one common denominator, they were " falsely accused of activities which were reportedly against Islam and yet no evidence was forthcoming against them regarding the same, these allegations were merely picked out of the air as nothing substantial has come out of these allegations, even after investigations by the special branch.

Police reports were made regarding Pastor Koh, that he was attempting to convert Muslims to Christianity and yet not an iota of evidence has been produced about the same.

In Pastor Helmi's case, yes the Pastor was a Muslim who converted to Islam, he was reported to have wanted to flee the country with his wife Ruth and they were wanting to go to New Zealand, but because his wife is a foreigner she required a visa to go to New Zealand and although she had told him to leave first he decided because of his religious convictions to stay and get his wife's visa first before leaving. He quotes Mathew; where Jesus says, "and the 2 shall become 1" and says he would have to leave with her as they were one as husband and wife.

In Pastor Koh's case there were numerous allegations that he was converting Muslims to Christianity, and not a single one of those allegations were  true and yet he went missing. The operation to get him was very similar with the way Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by the Police, the modus operandi differed only in one way and that was there was a motorcyclist in this case.

Missing Abducted and all  had one thing in common Allegations made about Islam

In the case of Syed Amri the allegation was that he was spreading Shia Islam, even  ASP Razman, the Head of the Special Branch from the Division of  Social Extremism - Perlis, told the special inquiry set up to look into these disappearances that Syed Amri was being monitored over his alleged Syiah links prior to his disappearance.

ASP Razman testified that  that since he helmed the department, Amri was not found spreading Syiah teachings.

All these goes to show that all these innocent people have gone missing over false allegations agaisnt innocent people made in the name of Islam.

To this day the Police have not been able to tell us anything of what happened to these missing persons.

Many Malaysians fear the worst, but the families of these people have every right to have closure in these issues.

Very few doubt that it was not the  Police behind these abductions as it was carried out so professionally, number plates were all doctored or so they say and to this day they have no clue.

Khalid Abu Bakar the former Police Inspector General (PIG) had said on many occasions that they were working on clues and information and did not seem to be really interested in the case, he was too preoccupied arresting the likes of Maria Chin and allowing trouble makers like Jamal Yunos to create havoc in the country.

The lack of Police concern in the cases of these people gives us cause of grave concern. There has not been any real effort to have this case brought to closure. Even Altantuya who was blasted into smithereens suing C4 was discovered,  but not these people.

Coming back to ICERD there are many cases of Indonesians, Bangladeshis, and people of many other different nationalities who have gained citizenship in this country whose children automatically become Bumiputra or Malay for that matter because they speak the language, follow the customs and are Muslims, whilst Malaysian s who have been here for three four and five generations are not Bumiputras and are treated as second class citizens.

The Obvious Stirring Emotions

Is this what PAS and others like Nazri Aziz  want to protect? Why is it ICERD is not welcomed and not long from now I can assure you the children of Zakir Naik if not him will become Bumiputras, why even now he is enjoying perks other Malaysians can't even hope for.

Now with all these, can we really tell Myanmar how to treat the Rohingya?

Pope Francis washes the feet of Muslim refugees.
The plight of the Rohingya, the plight of Syrian and other North African refugees in Europe, the hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees around the world are of grave concern not only to Muslims but to everybody. Pope Francis has taken a stand on these refugees himself when many Islamic countries themselves have not, and some idiots in the the so called first world  countries who speak like the idiots in ours are silenced and rubbished, even the American President is no exception, he is  attacked and rebuked  everyday on the American media, the media gives them no credibility whatsoever.

Yes there are those in Europe and America who have condemned these refugees as Muslim terrorists, who say they do not want Muslims in the country but the very government of the countries in Europe defend the rights of these defenseless   souls.
North African refugees offered Protection in Europe from Rightwingers

In Malaysia one of the most confounded idiots who once was screaming in Parliament calling an MP a "Bloody Racist" over and over again today shows his true racist colours, he is quoted as having said, “ICERD is a no way (for me).
As a Malay Muslim I have rejected it from the beginning and I have never questioned the rights of others. Can I accept it if my rights are taken away due to discrimination? The answer is no.”.........
Nazri Aziz

Notice the emphasis on two issues here coming from a man who was a minister  in the Mahathir, Badawi and Najib Governments, a lawyer by profession and who was once the defacto Law minister. Yes I am quoting Nazri and he had the cheek to call others racists.

Malaysia has effectively lost its high ground and has to cease to tell other countries what to do, till the extremist Malaysians come to their senses.

UMNO IN MEGA "LOMPAT" MOOD - KEY SC MEMBERS DISCUSS EGM

UMNO is to be hit by more of its key people moving out of the party although it is not clear if they'd apply to join Pakatan Harapan or just quit and remain independents.

At least 26 MP's are considering moving out together with 2 division chiefs  and 14 State assemblymen.

It is believed that two state assemblymen in Perak are now in the final stages of quitting as they seem to have lost faith in UMNO especially since the President himself is being brought to court and charged not with one but with 45 charges.

One of the two Perak Parliamentarians was quoted to have said, " we have been lied to by Najib and Zahid and now what we witness are more lies. We were told different things at different times regarding where Najib  got his money from, now we are convinced he was lying as the narrative has changed not once but several times and now to keep our dignity intact we are left with two options sack these two men or just quit the party. The same applies to Zahid we do not believe him anymore, he has claimed a lot of things which are lies including that he met the donor of Najib's loot from 1MDB".

"It looks like sacking these two men will be of no avail because they have others in the party who are so indebted to them, these others  will remain  hoping UMNO will come back to power and they will be able to rob the nation even more, as a Malay and a Muslim I cannot stay, because if I do, I am betraying my race and my religion" said this MP

Indeed the narrative has changed.

They knew what the future held in store
Whilst Najib's lawyer is desperately trying to shift the blame to the entire 1MDB management team or even the cabinet and take the responsibility away from Najib as he seemed to imply in his press conference after Najib's last appearance in court, Najib is now changing his own narrative on the source of the funds, the pink diamond and everything else.

Each time he is faced by questions or charges the narrative changes, keeping quiet as he used to do before when he was in power and just ignoring those who made the accusations in the full confidence that he was untouchable and  even punishing those who made accusations against him using all means available to him is no longer an option he has.

His former  Police Chief Khalid Abu Bakar  it is reported, is now on the list to be charged as soon as all the investigations are complete and the evidence is collected. Our sources tell us this will be sooner rather than later.

Khalid it is believed has a host of charges too to be leveled against him and some sources say he is eager to leave the country before it happens.

A lot is hatching behind the scenes it seems for new story lines, "The Najib Shafie and Zahid Incredible Fairy Tales", and each time a new version of the fairy tale is concocted, we'll hear it from either Najib, Zahid or Najib's honourable Lawyer, his other authors of fairy tales from the forgone era are all now quiet, too afraid to open their mouths as they know they too are under investigation.

Taking stock of the present situation, the useless situation, and realising that  the reputation of  UMNO is on a massive slide  it's youth have called for Zahid to go on leave, but Zahid has stubbornly refused to do so and has made it very clear to everyone in UMNO that he intends to stay no matter what, and there can be no question of him going on leave.

Zahid's deputy Mohamad Hassan  made such a call the day Zahid was charged, it was he who first suggested it, it was absolutely the right thing to do, regardless of his motives, and anybody will tell
Has plans for his own future
you that that this is  standard practice in any honourable organisation, but Zahid is in no mood to "go on leave" so to speak, he is not the type, he is hungry for power and will not let it go. After all it was he who engineered Muhyidin's fall in UMNO so he could become DPM.

"He is the first UMNO leader who whilst in service is being charged with criminal offenses and not one but 45, it is a a damming disgrace to UMNO and UMNO has to get him to go on leave if not take action against him  which is a very normal thing to do because at the time the membership voted him to power  they did not envisage this, for him  to be charged for such offenses of a criminal nature" said one UMNO youth member and he continued saying  "his refusal gives us no alternative but to study other options if we want to save the party or else it will go down the drain.".

"It is not for the party to tolerate him but for him to respect the party and  take leave, not resign, just take leave of the party, and that should be no problem if he really is not guilty, then clear his name,  come back from leave and take his rightful place with pride,  that is all we ask, in that way he will act as a true leader and a gentleman," said one UMNO MP considering a move.

That is what UMNO should expect of their leader, as it is the Name, Integrity and Dignity of the Party that matters unless of course UMNO members themselves realise that none of these values exist in their party,  sometimes one is  inclined to believe so, which also happens to be the general impression of the majority of the Malaysians and the numbers in that  stream  seems to be increasing by the day,  as it includes more people especially UMNO members.

FORCING THE ISSUE - THE  EGM WAY

UMNO can force Zahid to go on leave and if it has to go that far, then  that it is as good as telling their President  he is fired.

This can be done by calling for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

If it has to go to an EGM than Zahid might s well step down from his position as President of UMNO and the mood in UMNO is such that some members are already thinking of moving in that direction, a direction that could have very serious consequences for not only  Zahid but Najib and their court cases as well as well as the membership may then demand their resignations or dismissals once an EGM is convened and it will be the clearest sign that UMNO does not believve their Presidential narratives from both Zahid and Najib.

As usual with Zahid and Najib they read everything wrong they continue to think that Malaysians are idiots, now they are more convinced that  the general majority of UMNO members are with them,   that they will support them and "believe" in them, it could be true but that majority is dwindling by the day.

The change in UMNO

In  general  the less intelligent UMNO members who make the majority of the party, although surely but slowly even these are coming to their senses driven by what the more responsible members of the party are telling them, leaders who are really keen on seeing the party being saved from eventual damnation are changing the minds on the  "Incredible Fairy Tales of Najib, Zahid and His lawyer".

The "belief" of the UMNO members who support the narratives are based on the premise that if Najib comes back there will be money in it for them, in UMNO they have been used to this for far too long, the politics of patronage that they find it impossible to let it go so they fight tooth and nail  to try and re-establish it, many knowing tthe narratives to be untrue.

The UMNO plan collapsed and so did UMNO it just could not carry on with this brand of politics,  as Mustapa  Mohamad and he will tel you. The politics of patronage UMNO style just cannot be sustained and it over lived its time after 60 years, it just became excessively costly and has brought the nation to the brink of bankruptcy.

Now that Mustapa Mohammad has joined the PPBM he can probably  give everyone an intimate account Najibs' sand Rosmah's shopping spree. How Najib is an incessant wine and cigar smoker and much more, like  how mega  shopping was planned and drawn into the itinerary of Najib's foreign business trips.

The shopping in New York and in Korea, after all both Mustapa was there on the trips.

Mustapa's crossover to Pakatan will take UMNO by storm if Najib is not too careful, and it is also a good idea to keep Mustapa and his wife  protected at all times, he is too much of a liability to the Najib geng.

Talk is rife that even the deputy President is contemplating throwing in the towel, but is being hampered by the challenge to his position as an MP in the elections court. There is a great likelihood that the results of that election will be nullified and a new election for that seat will convened, and going by the results of recent by elections he does not seem to stand a chance and that is the only issue hampering the move.

From Kingpin to Beggar for support
He is very interested in the Presidency by default, and that is why it is romoured that he is inciting members behind the scenes to call on Zahid to go on leave, if Zahid moves out then even if he loses his Parliamentary seat he will have a strong hold on the UMNO and its politics.

UMNO has a few alternatives and among them is Khairy Jamaluddin, if Khairy wants to take over he has to muster a young team with influence among the grassroots with unblemished records, a rare commodity in UMNO,  these must be intellectuals with good grassroots support and challenge the present day hierarchy, with the support of other influential senior members in the Supreme Council who are honestly interested in the UMNO struggle, but even that is a rare commodity.

Khairy instead  is following in the footsteps of his father in law without realising that that modus operandi of his father in law is outdated, completely outdated, he is trying to play it cool and then ascend the way Abdullah Ahmad Badawi did.

Well he can play it cool but if change does not come to UMNO and soon it will be seen as insignificant, the leaders will be looked on as nobodies and the party will  be condemned to the dustbins of Malaysian political history,  it really wouldn't matter who leads UMNO as it would have gone to the dogs.

The issues at hand are very serious, it is corruption at the highest level of government, it is criminal, it even involves family members of the President and the ex President who till today command a lot of say in the party, and when the axe falls on these two men it will be on UMNO too, for there is within the party those who are so vocal and supportive of these two men. Then who takes over??

The take over has to start now. A coup of sorts.

The UMNO supreme council does not have to be that smart, we all know they lack the intelligence, but let them not be seen as people who lack what is most important ingredient  of all - integrity.

The party's moral fabric is in question with the majority of Malaysian Malays (not necessarily confined to UMNO)  included who are calling this to question.

Billionaires abound in the party. How they acquired such enormous wealth defies logic, and yet after 60 years UMNO claims that the Malays have been left behind.

Well surprisingly that is the truth, the majority of Malays have been left behind by such thieves and robbers, who stole that right of theirs skimming off the top of the economic pie for a a select few of the UMNO elite and leaving the crumbs for the rest, so how can they not be left behind.

In Education the Children of the UMNO elite get the best, they are schooled in elite British Institutions, or in the States and all in English to the extent that their Bahasa is weak. They live like the spoiled children of some of the  British millionaires, or they spend money of the people provided to them either directly or indirectly by the people of Malaysia via government channels  without our knowing.

What does the ordinary Malaysian get?

He is told to study in a Malay school, he is told to forget about English it is not important by UMNO brass, he goes to university and is not able to use reference material because most of it is n English.
He fares badly in the examination, that is of no consequence, he is passed and graduates to find that the private sector will not employ him for a position for which he is seemingly qualified. Why and very honestly because he fails to answer even the most basic questions correctly. To make things right he is placed in government service.

UMNO's future Leader? A possible victim of the NEP
Generally speaking the ordinary Malaysian by the very education system is left ignorant, and this has been done on purpose, it was planned  with the objective of not allowing them to think independently and form opinions but to follow what the government says and it was vigorously done during the Najib years.

The BN government wanted and planned a ignorant batch of Malaysians most of the non Malays came out of  that mold by interactions with people of other races, taking English seriously, many Malays fell into this wretched circle and have become the backbone of UMNO or PAS today.

At the end of the day these ill informed, and ill equipped children are given jobs in Government service to keep them contended, religion and race are brought to the fore to ensure that they fall in line and reluctantly out of fear that the others are out to rob them of everything and as a result  UMNO and PAS are accorded support.

Any wonder why the government service in Malaysia is among the largest in the world in ratio to population, and any wonder why it is also one of the most inefficient?

UMNO has to wake up from it slumber, its leaders those who really care should actually forget Najib and Zahid their problems has nothing to do with UMNO, if they want to revive the party, and get on with reviving the party.

To do that they must be prepared to show the word that they are a party of people and not individuals.
Individuals who brought the party down are of no  concern to the party, they brought the party down, now UMNO has to get into to the revival mode and build again or be prepared to go down in History of Malaysia n disgrace,  as the most corrupt party this country has ever seen.

UMNO IN DISGRACE

MOHAMAD HASSAN IN CLOUD NINE AS PARTY FALLS OUT OF GRACE
Feeling the power

Mohamad Hassan the deputy president of UMNO has been  playing it cool and he is now ready to assume the position of Acting President of UMNO.

According to sources in UMNO he has in recent times, since his election as deputy President of the party been carefully scrutinising the UMNO Constitution and the SOP's of the party to see where he stands in the eventual arrest of his immediate boss, he has kept this close to his chest sharing it only with a few  of a few trusted aides.

He expected Ahmad Zahid to  fall, that is to be arrested and charged and eventually convicted so he was just biding his time and it seems to have come sooner rather than later.

Whilst he is the legitimate choice for the acting President there are others who feel he should not step into those shoes yet.

Members of the supreme council may draw his attention to the fact that he should not make the move but rather continue as Deputy President till the election case challenging the legitimacy of his position as an MP is solved.
Dejected they knew it was coming

In the meantime it will be proposed that Tengku Razaleigh helms the party as caretaker President till either Mohamad Hassan is cleared or Zahid is acquitted.

Mohamad Hassan may just decide to take the bait and play it cool he knows, or at least thinks the cards are all stacked in his favour, but his supporters will have none of that.

Mohamad Hassan's supporters are well aware of this proposal and are totally against it, they want him at the helm and do not want Tengku Razaleigh to get involved.

On the other hand two members of the Supreme Council who have no clout are of two different opinions.

Annuar Musa is for the Secretary General calling the shots in the party, and the status quo to remain, and he is seeking the support of senior members still in the supreme council. The move will give presidential powers to Annuar Musa an unelected member of the supreme council as he si the Secretary General.

Nest on the MACC list?

Tengku Adnan on the other hand is a strong proponent of Tengku Razaleigh being appointed caretaker. He has told some top UMNO brass and division heads UMNO needs a seasoned and experienced politician to lead UMNO. Moreover he is reported to have argued that Razaleigh is the man best suited for the position as he knows Mahathir and Anwar better than anyone else in the party.

All three groups are in complete disagreement, they all want their own way and the battle is heating for noise from division heads and grassroots.

Many feel that Mohamad Hassan will use this as an opportunity to work his way to the top and may actually even sacrifice Ahmad Zahid in the process by any means possible and available to him,  to take on the Presidency.

UMNO outsiders say that there is no way Razaleigh can come in and in this matter constitutionally Moahmad Hassan has absolutely full control, he can just take over the seat once Zahid goes on leave, if he goes on leave.

But can Zahid really stay?

UMNO ON THE BRINK OF DISASTER - PRESIDENT TO BE CHARGED

AS ZAHID AWAITS BEING CHARGED - UMNO POWER STRUGGLE LOOMS.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD - ONLY TIME WILL TELL

Did they know it was coming?

Ku li is trying very hard to make a come back as an advisor and caretaker of UMNO  as Zahid faces charges in the courts tomorrow.

Mohamad Hassan while seemingly playing it cool is vary of Tengky Razeleigh's plans and is keeping a keen eye in that direction while other hopefuls the likes of Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob and others are are also in the fray waiting to see where they'll throw their support.
Opportunity beckons the habitual loser.

The reason some of the supreme council members do not want the deputy to take up the position of acting President is there is a great likelihood of  case against the Deputy as well as his very position as an MP is now in question and is being challenged in the courts.

Elections commission officers are now awaiting charges for many different criminal actions in trying to influence the results of GE 14 and his election victory is most one. If he is disqualified from his seat as MP then the Acting President will be out of Parliament and that will make hi ineffective.

The whole party is in disarray, no capable people, the Malay elite intellectuals  have dissociated themselves with the party for fear of being looked down upon, UMNO's strongest grassroots base FELDA has been breached,  corruption seems to have gone into the very chore of the party and those still clinging to power are desperate and as usual they are now forming cliques to wrest that power for themselves and their self interests.

Without real brain power UMNO's leadership is in the doldrums and looks doomed to continued failure.
May be another liability

Most  of the key members of the supreme council feel Zahid ( with ulterior motives of course) will have to step down,  and are even attempting to dictate what happens when Ahmad Zahid takes leave of his presidency  while some feel he does not have to take leave at all, and should only step down if found guilty and is convicted by the courts after seeking all avenues to prove his innocence.

The situation is so tense in UMNO a split is inevitable, the problem now is there are very few kingmakers and kings (Cash is King)  as the cash even if it is there can't be shown as it will be the downfall of those who use the cash, the MACC has a keen eye on UMNO and its war treasures at this time.

Even Zahid needs cash which he has  to save his position but is in no position to flout it as it will only lead to more investigations agaisnt him.

In UMNO the winner is the highest pay master and it has been the case for a long time, and now since they do not have contracts to give out UMNO is straddled and so too are its members - the Division Chiefs and even some Branch heads, who  have huge war chests with them, but can't use it  at the present time readily for fear of repercussions as most of this are ill gotten wealth through corrupt practices.

UMNO's secretary General Annuar Musa has no clout whatsoever and so too its treasurer Tengku Adnan. One UMNO source says  that Tengku Adnan and  Anuar Musa both have the capability of influencing the way the leadership struggle goes as they have the means and both may be vying for the support of Ismail Sabri in the game.
Desperate to be close to the top

The wanita in UMNO as usual are keeping  out of the loop till the battle heats up, they will support the strongest contender,.

Very ambitious but lacks grassroots support
The top UMNO brass knows full well that Zahid will be charged and are expecting a conviction, they do not expect him to be acquitted and that has resulted in this intense power struggle among a field of unknowns all ambitious all hopeful.

Ismail Sabri Yaakob may have a key role here and he is outwardly backing Zahid to remain till he is found guilty that may take about two years or so and in the meantime he hopes to consolidate his own position.

The outlook is  bleak as there is nothing Khairy can do at the moment, he is not in the Supreme Council and that is where the action is, he is not there  unlike Razaleigh who has been  been invited there for this serious decision maaking process.

He'll talk nonsense to please his boss
Razaleigh has been invited to the SC meeting and may be able to influence some outcomes but at the end  of the day who takes the role of the "caretaker" lefts to be seen, if it is Razaleigh then Khairy has a more legitimate claim to the position and that is the key for Mohamed Hasssan to lay his claim for the sposition of acting President,  after all it is the deputy that replaces the president, but the question on everyone"s lips is ;

"Who the hell is Mohamad Hassan?"

BEFORE THE DUST SETTLES - UMNO/BN BACK TO DESTROY THE PH PACT

The dust hasn't even settled and here we are at each others throats.

We are playing into the hands of, sly, crafty masters of deceit and we'll all land up losers.
Anwar is going back to Parliament isn't he????
Anwar to be PM - Mahathir to be Pm in the interim Anwar to take over after Pardon - Was there another deal?

Did he not tell us that even before this, much, much before and wasn't that the battle cry.
That we'd win the elections, and Mahathir will be the PM in the interim and Anwar will come out and be granted a royal pardon and assume the position.

Now we are behaving like the UMNO DUMNOs, he isout and we join the UMNO bandwagon that is actually stirring the shit from the behind not to allow him back.

Anwar will not come in on day one and ask Mahathir to move off, he himself has said it wil be difficult but if we deny him this chance we are the liars we are the crooks.

Yes, I must admit that Rafizi for all he is worth is also responsible for part of this objections by the people, we get dragged into a network of hate and t of deceit and Rafizi with his accusations and all sorts of calls which he took public and  that were rather ungentlemanly fueled ivision and brroken the unity.

There has never been good blood between Rafizi and Azmin from day 1 as I see it.  There is fierce competition, can the two really mend fences after the PKR elections, Rafizi is making it difficult very difficult. He has to stop his rhetoric.

I really do not know where Zuraida is coming from either and the more matured politicians in the party must bring the bandwagon together they have to sing the same song. Well the campaign will tell us a lot, but the way it is going it does not look good at all.

YOU KNOW WHAT UMNO SAID AFTER THE LAST ELECTIONS.
LET ME REMIND YOU.

"WE'LL BE GOVERNMENT BEFORE THE NEXT ELECTIONS"
AND LO AND BEHOLD   NOW THEY ARE HERE THEY ARE PREPARING FOR IT AND WE ARE HELPING THEM.

This is the real world of Politics let it play out, after the PKR elections the dust may settle and I really hope it does, but if we fuel it it will get worse because we are the power and they will play the game we decide and right now it is divide, it is no honour suddenly everybody does not want Anwar and why?

Well the story line varies and depending  on who you ask.

Some will tell you Wan Azizah should quit Pandan and give it to him.
Anwar with PKR founder Dsr.Wan Aziza

Many other will tell you if he is after Mahathir's chair, that is what the UMNO buggers want too, Mahathir knows too much and will actually crush UMNO he has the ability.

Some others will tell you Nurul should quit.

Honestly I am shocked.

If Wan Aziza quits that means Anwar is being put on fast track to become PM.

Remember she is DPM and in any event the PM steps down the DPM takes over. Wan is not going to become PM so its is good for her to be there so Mahathir aand his supporters do not have to look over their shoulders that often.

If he is out for Mahathir's chair he has to go for Wan Azizah or Nurul' seat, having all 3 in Parliament at the same time is an all time high and knowing Anwar he will not want it, Wan will remain the full term I suppose.
TDM Going about his work - not perturbed at all DSAI getting prepared but is not ready yet

Nurul has proved herself in politics even before this government came to powe and when it did she stays as an ordinary MP the same with Kit Siang, his son is the minister of Finance and Kit Siang an ordinary MP.

Nurul is the kind of material we want for the future, the people who determine it is us, and PKR has a membership that has worked hard all these years to turn the tables on UMNO, they have a voice too, they want the change they fought for so long for.
Dynamic future material - still young - chhose between her and the likes of - Sharizat?
erious to fulfill their wishes as they have been for wanting him there in the first place.

A good majority of them were UMNO members who gave up all the "perks" in UMNO to make this happen, their sacrifce was real, they want to see what they worked for happen and that was the pre election promise, and anybody who says otherwise is breaking that promise.

Anwar forgave Dr. M  and allowde him to lead to save the country he made a huge sacrifice, while some say, "if Dr.M had not come we would not have won" which is true the greater part of that truth is that if Anwar had not forgiven and  accepted  Dr. M back PH would not be the government today.

And in the background is UMNO an it is haunting via proxies. They are directing the game, they have the money make no bones.

I really see failure in the background because many of us who have never been in the real political arena will not know how the games play out and it is.

Well I should  know,  I was once the Deptuy Secretary General of Parti NASMA founded by two very good people, Ahmad Noor, from Customs and  President  of Ceupacs, and Zainab Yang a fiery lady who was at the head of what would seem a very Macho organsiation and a no nonsense person Zainab Yang, she headed the Pan Malaysian Lorry Drivers Association.

Nasma was infiltrated by UMNO people, one of whom even told me he carried $50 million to Sabah in cash to give Harris Salleh for the Sabah elections. The money was taken from KUBB.

Yusof Rawa formerly from PAS was a member of the Supreme Council and for those of you who do not know him, he defeated Mahathir in the 1969 election in Kedah, a really perfect gentleman in y opinion.

Pa Yusof as I called him in those days, one day called me, he saw what was happening, he asked me to meet him near the Kg Pandan Golf Club at the junction leading to the entrance, I drove there he was in a maroon car, he gave me a letter.  saying , " take this letter, it is my resignation from the party, give it to Raja Nasrom," he (Raja Nasrom had taken over the party's Supreme Council and forced Ahmad Nor and Zainab Yang out) and told me what was going on.

He advised me to leave as he put it to me, "you are a very young and sincere person, if you stay in this game it will ruin you, take this advice from me as an elder - quit, this and politics, you do not want to be part of this game).

I quit and took his advice, analyzing political scenario has been pat of me, probably taken after my father who did the same thing during his time, a staunch Alliance Party supporter then till 1969,  commenting via my blog It's Toffees Turn maintaining my links within UMNO which I still have, and from whom I get m sources.

The article I wrote pre GE14 on:
"BN INTELLIGENCE SOURCES PREDICT BN LOSS IN GE 2018."

Well my own sources were from UMNO developed from way back, my NASMA or Parti Nasionalis Malaysia days, some of the live in Melaka, others mainly in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.

Those sources are still with me, they now tell me how UMNO members infiltrate your FB pages and try and discredit all you say, some of them have multiple Face book accounts so they post, they reply their post aand they criticize your post.

A good many of these UMNO face book cybertroopers  are not even Malays they come from the BN ranks I suppose,  but are paid by UMNO and if you go to political blogs you'll see the in action.

They maintain that Najib is innocent and that there is not an iota of evidence agaisnt him an that is why the government can't charge him, without realising he has already been charge twice. Then you get another guy coming out in support after or before he gets a response an more will come to make the guy who is telling the truth look like he does not know hat he is talking about.

Let it play out,  as long as we do not smoke it the fire will not burn,  stop adding smoke to the fire.

NOTICE THE ARTICLE  HERE  CARRIED ON THE NST FIRST PAGE.
SINCE WHEN WAS ZURAIDA SO IMPORTANT TO NST?
NST IS AN UMNO MOUTHPIECE.
NO CERTAINLY THAT ZURAIDA IS NOT BUT SHE IS PLAYING UP THAT GALLERY KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY.
SIMILARLY  THIS ONE IN THE STAR

Ask yourselves since when has Star and the NST been so Pakatan friendly?
